Boilerplate
Bugs, Buns, and Other Crunchy Comforts is a short, melancholy cookbook of sixteen suppers, written by Crumbsmith Orsa and published by The Soft Armor. The dishes run from moss-green crackers and raindrop broth to crystal shortbread, a blue cocoon of a pudding, and a handful of real insects roasted until they snap.
Crumbsmith Orsa is an original beetle invented for this book, not a character from the game. The book is unofficial fan fiction. It does not quote the game and does not use its art.
Some recipes use cricket flour, roasted crickets, or mealworms sold for human food. Insects can cross-react with shellfish and crustacean allergies. Honey, where it appears, is not for children under one year.

About the author
Crumbsmith Orsa is an original beetle, not a character from the game. Thirty-four rains old, a former sign-painter, he has an ink-dark shell and pale joints, and he cooks at a one-burner bench beside a lamp that never quite wins against the damp.
The name was invented for this book. He keeps the bench because the dark is kinder with a pot on. The Soft Armor is the imprint that publishes him.
